Happy Independence Day

We had a great 4th of July. We spent the morning boating and then went back to Grandma's and Grandpa's house for naps before a BBQ with our family and most of the Chandler gang and Dawn. The kids all loved the glasses and toys Grandma gave them.

Afterwards, we went to the nearby elementary school to watch the fireworks. Davis is such a friendly little guy and he doesn't care if he's not near us, so we spent the time waiting for the fireworks chasing him and making sure we knew where he was. At one point in the night, he ended up with a glow stick that wasn't his and we couldn't find the owners- who knows where he got the thing. We had a great time until the sprinklers came on where we were sitting right as the grand finale started.

A great holiday was had by all. Below are some of the dozens of pictures I can't resist taking.

Boating Fun!

We spent the afternoon of the 3rd and the morning of the 4th boating with Grandma and Grandpa Davis. On the 4th, Breezy and Mat came too. We had a great time tubing, wake boarding, and air chairing. Everyone was a little sore after the tube, but still had enough energy to get in a few great air chair rides. Blair and Davis loved the boat. They thought every aspect of it was awesome and the had a great time on the tube. They were also surprisingly pretty good about wearing their life jackets non-stop. A great time was had by all. Thanks Grandpa and Grandma.

Gateway Fountain

During the summer, my mom and I hang out one day a week. One day we took the kids and let them play in the fountain at the Gateway. I thought they would love it, but they didn't. They weren't really sure about the whole thing; I think they we a little intimidated by all of the super big kids running around. One time, Davis was looking down into the holes when the water shot him in the face. He thought that was pretty cool and started to warm up after that, but I think we'll have to give it a try again when they get a little bigger. It was still a fun day, I was just surprised that the kids didn't just run right in.
