Three Months

Brant was three months old on Monday. I can't believe how big he is. He's a lot different than my other two at this age- I can't wait to see his little personality develop more.
The bad news of this week is Brant started waking up in the night after two weeks of sleeping through the night. I've tried to let him work it out on his own and go back to sleep, but he can cry for a LONG time. We've got to work on sleeping when we get back from Austin's wedding in California.

Snugglers

I'm not sure why we bought bunk beds when Aunt Miranda moved in. Davis and Blair usually sleep in the same bed. Tonight when I checked on them, they were both in Davis' twin bed on top as opposed to Blair's full sized bottom bunk. They sure love being together.

My Little Helper

Blair loves to help clean the house- everything except her room and the playroom. Yesterday, while Miranda and I were cleaning the house, Blair volunteered to clean the back doors and the upstairs mirrors. She had fun and left her mark on her projects in the form of handprints.

We love the zoo!

We used our zoo pass again this afternoon. The kids sure love the unlimited rides with our pass. We rode the carousel four times and the train three times. We managed to see a few animals too, but the highlight for the kids was Brant being awake to measure up to the gorilla. They want to measure him every time, but he's usually asleep.

Jensen Nature Park

We've discovered the Jensen Nature Park and we love it.  There is a two mile trail around the pond and we walk it a few times each week with the whole crew in tow- our little family, Aunt Miranda, and Sully.  Tonight we were there and Blair was loving the geese.  She was a little surprised to see they weren't afraid of her.

Preschool

Today was the last day of preschool for Davis and Blair. They did so great in their program and had a fun time. Davis didn't really sing the songs in the program, however I know he knows them because I hear them at home all the time. They love their teacher Ms. Kate and can't wait for her to teach them again next year.

They really learned a lot this year. I was surprised how much the younger class learned. Both kids love school and love learning. They are so excited to learn how to read and they've been sounding out words a lot lately. It is so much fun to watch Davis and Blair grow up.

Yay! Sleep!

Brant has slept through the night, eight hours a night, five days in a row now. Obviously I couldn't be more thrilled. Mornings are so much better now.

Zoo Fun

We spent the day at the zoo yesterday and had a blast. The kids love the zoo even though we go a bunch because we have a pass. Our pass this year is pretty nice because we get free train and carousel rides. We hit each ride a few times when we go. Yesterday, the weather couldn't have been better and it was fun having Aunt Miranda with us. We're having much fun with her at our house.

First Haircut

Sunday before church, Spence gave Brant his first haircut. He had lost a bunch of hair in the front, but the top at the back was long and looking goofy. Spence evened it up and trimmed around his ears and his sideburns. He looks grown up to me now.

Bikes

The kids got bikes a while ago and they've been having a blast. Davis can ride like a pro by himself now and Blair can keep herself up if she has help getting started- she doesn't turn or stop by herself yet, but she'll be there soon. I can't believe our kids are old enough to ride bikes by themselves. They're so much fun these days.

11 Weeks

Brant is eleven weeks old today. We're so glad he's in our family. He smiles like crazy these days, makes adorable noises, sleeps good at night- eight hours straight two nights in a row now- and entertains Davis and Blair. We sure love this boy.

Warm Weather Fun

The weather is so nice today. The kids have been asking to play in the sprinklers and it's finally warm enough. Davis played for a minute, but Blair would play all day if I let her.
