Teeth

This is a picture of Davis' first teeth. You'll have to look closely, but they're there. He is doing better now, but he had a really bad week last week. The poor guy had a raging fever and was cranky. He just wanted to be held and cuddled. He must have been feeling pretty rotten because he is seriously the most mellow kid I have ever seen. Usually, taking care of him is a breeze.

Blair was a trooper and super good all week so I could help Davis. She played right by me while I cuddled Davis on the couch. She must have known I needed her to be on her best behavior. She was also super good in church and happy to go to a neighbor (she usually loves only Mom or Dad) while I had Davis because Spencer was off at another ward.

We have now bought our first baby toothbrush and Davis is a great sport each morning and night as we brush his teeth. No cavities please...

He's working on his tortured look. What a mean mom I am.

How Old Are You????

Last week Spencer was made a High Priest and set apart as a member of the stake High Council. It has been pretty funny already to see people's reaction to him being so young. He assures them that there is no age requirment and lets them know he's 26, but he'll be 27 next month. He must think 27 sounds much older than 26...

Here he is sporting his new suit the day he got ordained. We've been talking about getting him a new one for a while, but this just finally made him actually go and do it. Heaven forbid he has to step foot in a store that doesn't sell sporting goods. This is one thing I can't buy and bring home to him.

Bad Hair Day

This is what Blair looked like after waking up from her nap the other day. We have two crazy sleepers and it makes for some interesting hair-dos. Bad hair aside, I love naps and I love, love, love babies that wake up so extremely happy each time they sleep.

Camping at Cub River

A couple of weeks ago, we had the Olsen family campout. We went to Cub River near Preston, Idaho. We had a really good time. It was a little crazy with the kids because they are so mobile. They are no longer content to sit and play on a blanket. They prefer to roam around and eat dirt, sticks, rocks, and grass. Mmmm. We did a lot of fun things and enjoyed visiting with our family.

The babies playing with Alex.

Davis and Grandpa hanging out

Geting ready to go on a hike to the spring

Dad and the babies first thing in the morning - Dad isn't quite as awake as the babies

Spence and Sam had a little fun painting eachother after we painted shirts
Blair and Davis modeling the shirts we painted

We had fun. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Olsen for a great time.

Time Flies When You're Having Fun!

Sunday was our three year anniversary. I can't believe it. The last three years have been great. We've done so much and things have changed so much. We couldn't ask for a better life. We are so blessed.

For as smiley as our kids are, Davis would not cooperate when we were taking pictures. Blair was pretty good, but Davis wouldn't even give a decent look. This is the only picture where he has a half decent look on his face and, of course, it was one of the worst of Blair. Oh well, better luck next time.

Random Pictures

We haven't done anything big and exciting lately, but we have been having a lot of fun at home.
The babies are so much fun right now. They go anywhere and everywhere and it's always faster than I thought they could move. They always like to see what the other one is up to and they LOVE to climb on everything. Here are a few pictures we've taken lately.

The babies love to hang out by me when I'm cooking dinner. Last night they pulled out the drawer on the bottom of the stove and Blair thought it'd be fun to climb in. This isn't something I love them doing, but I still needed a picture.

Davis and Blair love books. They have a basket full of books that they love to get out. They love to read stories and they have both started helping me turn the pages now. It's so cute. In the morning after breakfast, the first place they always go is to the books. Hopefully, they'll always love reading!
Davis climbing under the end table. Anything new to climb on is always exciting to them.
One morning I was in the middle of getting them ready and I left their room for a minute. When I came back, they were sitting together like this.
Nothing is as fun when you're sitting. Standing is always best!
The babies both love mirrors. Their closet doors are mirrors and they can entertain themselves there for a long time. It's pretty funny to watch. The other day we were out shopping and Davis was getting a little cranky (typical boy), I walked over to look at something and happened to put the stroller in front of a mirror and immediately I heard happy noises out of him. He was checking himself out and loving it. What a cutie.
Usually I bathe the babies one at a time, but when Spence is home they can take a bath together. They love splashing and playing with the toys. Blair also loves crawling around in the tub and sticking her mouth under so she can drink the water. Yum!

Big kid PJs. I think pajamas with a top and bottom and no feet make the babies look so grown up. Here they are in their big kid PJs for the first time.
Davis and Dad having a good time.
Blair and Dad enjoying a few laughs.
Davis and Alex playing at the park during the family reunion for Grandma Olsen's side of the family. On the 24th of July we went to Park City. Spence, Dad, and Austin took their bikes and rode the lift up the mountain and their bikes down. They had a great time and the babies and I had fun shopping with Grandma.
Life couldn't be better at the Erickson house. We are happy as can be and can't get enough of our cute babies. We are blessed beyond belief!
