My kids have had the worst cold the last couple of days. We have been spending our days in PJs and doing lots of cuddling. Our nights haven't been our best. One of the kids is up almost every hour because they're coughing or they can't breathe because their nose is so stuffed up. Today, we're hanging out at home while Dad is at church. I just went in to check on the kids in their nap and found Blair halfway undressed. This picture just makes me laugh.

Petting Farm
Last week we went to the petting farm at Thanksgiving Point with my friend Erin and her girls Lilly and Kenna. We had a blast. The kids absolutely loved the animals and being able to touch them. Davis got the most excited look on his face when they were close enough to pet. When it finally came time to ride the ponies, the kids surprised me a little. Neither one of them needed or wanted one bit of help. They were thrilled to hold on and ride them without you touching them. It was a great place to go because I didn't have to put the kids in the stroller and they could run from one animal to the next. I did, however, feel like a total city girl. It made me laugh to think that I paid to take my kids to see all the animals that I had in my backyard growing up.
I didn't get too many pictures of their faces because there were too many fun things to check out.
At the end of the trip I had the great idea to get a treat and go eat it out on the grass. Erin, being a smart mom, picked a light colored creamy for her kid. I, however, not thinking chose red and yellow Popsicles. The kids loved them but they made such a big mess. Blair was totally into eating it. She wouldn't let go for one second. It didn't take her long to finish it and she wasn't happy when it was gone. The orange faces and hands were stained for the remainder of the day and Blair's clothes were wet and sticky clear through.

Spring
The kids and I have been enjoying the warm weather lately. We've been outside every chance we had. It is so much fun as the kids get a little older because they can do so many things on their own. They absolutely love the parks near our house. Davis is the king of slides and loves going down head first on his stomach. It's pretty funny. We've also been at Grandma and Grandpa Davis' house a bunch lately because Dad is super busy at work. The kids love the swings and will stay in them for thirty minutes at a time. That's some sort of record for us! Here they are sporting a little green for St. Patrick's Day.

Animal Sounds
Today I was reading the kids a book called "Noisy Animals". On the last page I was pointing to each animal and asking what they say. They repeated the usual ones they say, but I was asking about the others because you never know when they will say a new one. When I got to the pig and asked "What does the pig say?" without hesitation Blair said, "Wee wee wee". That wasn't the answer I was looking for, but I can see how that makes sense to her. We always do "This Little Piggy" with their toes and the last one does say "Wee wee wee" all the way home.

I Hope They Call Me On A Mission...
On March 4th Austin got his mission call. We were all so excited and everyone made a guess where he was going. It turns out, Austin was right! He's going to Portland, Oregon and speaking Spanish. He leaves on May 27th. He is super pumped.

Treehouse Museum & Cousins
Last week we met Jared and Mandy and the girls for a great night out. We went to dinner at Pizza Factory and then went to the Treehouse Museum. We had a great time.
We had a rough time getting these pictures. The only one we got with Alex had her trying to get off the fire engine.
