Playtime

Nothing super eventful is happening at our house. It's busy season for Spence so we look forward to any time we get to see him. The babies get so excited when he's home. They crawl all over him non-stop. Blair loves to give him hugs. When he's not home, were having fun on our own. Here are some cute pictures of the kids lately.

These two pictures were Dad's idea of fun one day and the babies couldn't get enough. They love the diaper boxes - they're a favorite toy at our house. They love to be inside and play Peek-a-Boo.

Davis loves to read books and could entertain himself all day that way. He turns the pages and babbles to himself as he goes through each book. If I had the time, I’m sure he’d happily listen to me read to him for hours each day. Blair likes books too, but not like Davis. Blair is more interested in helping fold (or unfold) clothes and unload the dish towels from the drawers. They now have child locks on them, but her little arm fits through the small opening. She is a little imitator. Whatever Mom does, Blair does. This picture makes me laugh. Blair has started giving us the cheesiest grins lately. She laughs at herself and smiles like this when she thinks she's being pretty funny.
The kids have learned how to go up and down the stairs now. I didn't give them a chance to learn until recently because I didn't want to deal with them being able to go wherever they wanted. For the most part, they will turn around at the top of the stairs so they can go down, but sometimes they forget. No major accidents yet. I still use the gate when I want to keep them both on the same floor, but they love to play on the stairs. The other day they were having a good time going up and down the four flights of stairs we have and Davis crawled right out of his pants. New Fall clothes are a little big and he had a hard time getting up the stairs with his pants on. It was pretty funny to watch as he realized what had happened and looked at his pants for a minute. After that, I think he decided it was easier to get where he was going without pants.

Here's Blair practicing walking. The previous post with the video of her walking was the end of walking for a while. The next day, she refused to take any steps and she'd just sit down when we stood her up. A few days ago, she decided to give walking another go. At her best, she'll do eight to ten steps.
This is Davis loving Fall and new clothes. Who doesn't like jeans and a comfy hoodie?
"Where's the drink?" The kids have started learning to drink out of real cups. They use a real cup to have a little drink after they get their teeth brushed and they love it. They also love to drink the bath water. Cups are some of their favorite bath toys and they are constantly filling them with water and taking a drink. They think it's pretty fun. Now, when either of them see anything that even remotely resembles a cup, they try to take a drink.
A few weeks ago, Brady, Emily, Trey and Ivory came to Utah for a visit. We had so much fun seeing them and playing with their cute kids. Ivory is getting so big and Trey is more fun each time we see him. He loves to be the big kid and play with the babies. He likes to help them and teach them new things. Trey loves the Bob the Builder toys and he always wanted to put the safety goggles on Davis. What a cutie.
The babies love to play with Trey and follow him around. I think Trey is used to his baby sister though because when I put Davis down on the floor to play he yelled "Look! He moved!" when Davis started to crawl around.

Cute pictures! I love Blair's big grin--they are both adorable--what a fun, busy age!! Max is one step behind them and I'm not sure if I'm ready for walking, climbing stairs, etc. but it will be here soon.
